Got to love it.  She had chances to serve out the match up 5-4 and then again at 6-5 and choked both times and loses in the 3rd set playoff.  Why do women choke so many matches away?  Doesn’t happen on the men’s side like this. It’s maddening.  

The short boring answer is their serve isn’t as strong - so very few of them have the serve that is strong enough on its own to win points consistently - but there is plenty examples from ATP where they choke - also big names 

In general tennis is a very physiological sport - there is only you on court - so if you have an off day or if something suddenly doesn’t go your way in the match it can very easily spiral out of control in your mind
