Brings us to 6-7 -1.1u. Couple of really bad beats, but that is tennis! It is early so I expect a lot of variance, be warned. I made a few picks and I doubt I will get anymore until tomorrow night, if any. Here we go!

Xinyu is coming into this match in good form. Kenin is not, the once #4 has fallen quite far from grace. I am surprised to see her favorited. She is very good, but I do not see her being up to par just yet.

Venus is back? She was a heavy dog in her first match and showed us that she can still hit the fuzzy ball around by winning in straight sets. She plays a harder opponent but I won't fade one of the best female tennis player ever, even at her age and form. By her previous performance, she may mean business.

1u Kostyuk/Rybakina Both To Win A Set +160

Marta comes into this match 1-0 against Rybakina, however this was juniors and I don't think should be considered. Rybakina is the better player here, however, Kostyuk has been playing great tennis. I can see her stealing a set here.

4u Sabalenka +106

I am intrigued by this line. Saba is incredibly dominant and ranked 15 spots higher than Samsonova. Samsonova did beat Saba in October 2-1, but I don't think that warrants Saba as a dog. Saba likely smells blood here and is coming for revenge in her first match of 2023.
