I made a live tennis wager on a player to win the match in the second set and he retired one game later and it was graded a loss. I know most books would settle this as a push due to live bet however hard rock settled as a loss. Completely unfair. Has anyone experienced something like this?

A lot of US books would void in this situation but hard rock grades retirements after the first set as win/loss rather than win/void as books like Draftkings, FanDuel, etc do.

Yep you’d think industry standard would be a live bet in that situation is a void. I’d understand if this was a pre match wager to some degree but I lost in 5 minutes of placing the wager. Pretty unfair but the don’t care

You guys are normally “protected” by your bookmakers regarding this - because the rules in the “real world” would be as described pretty much no matter which international bookmaker you would use - but it doesn’t really matter if you bet a lot - because eventually it will evens out - the chance of losing on retirement isn’t larger than your chance of winning - I have tried winning odds +2000 within seconds after placing - those times feel equally as good - that win/void scenario described doesn’t exist outside your guys bubble
