Dude has nothing left to prove to anyone as he's just a proven winner...the guy could go on to build lego sets and it would be interesting and possibly televised...
Always great to see him compete in the majors and they are not the same without him, but the Olympics and playing for your country always has a higher sense of prestige...in the 4 times he has played the Olympics he has only mustered a measly 1 bronze medal...that's not up to his standards and I am sure has a lot to do with it...as much as a winner this guy is, to only have 1 Olympic medal, and a bronze to boot, I'm sure that he is thinking that a gold medal is the one that has alluded him...
I think it's great if he makes this decision...good for him...and he will probably win the gold this go around as well...that's one determined SOB....love it
