It amazes me that someone with 16 double faults can still win a semi final match.  Say what you want about Coco she is an incredible fighter.  She is probably the hardest player to wager on or against.  Her odds are usually inflated.

I agree that she's probably the most difficult player to bet on/against. She has such a high ceiling but also a low floor and it's nearly impossible to know what you're gonna get from her on any given day. Zheng just really blew that third set which was surprising. Coco was double faulting three times in a single service game and still winning the game.

All that being said, I still really like Paolini today and the crowd could be tough for Gauff similar to how they affected Shnaider. At their doubles semifinal yesterday you would have thought it was a Sinner final match with you raucous they were. Also a title will help relieve some huge pressure from Jasmine as she gets ready to defend points from back to back slam finals. 

Im sure the crowd was backing her the other 6 times she played here and she never made it past the 2nd round

Women's tennis is a confidence game. Kind of like last year she made that surprise French Open run and had literally never won a tour match on grass but went on to make the Wimbledon final. Things happen.

she's simply a better player than 2 years ago hence her success. pegula did the same thing after toiling on the itf circuit. bettors think playing at home is a plus for players, in team sports yes, in singular sports like tennis and golf it's just added pressure. too many distractions at home, you see players doing more "home stuff" catching up with friends and family not hitting the practice courts as much.

Great call by the original poster I thought fatigue would play a factor so I only took Jasmine for the first set only at plus 140 odds I didn't think that you would be able to watch her off the court in two sets but those odds must have been real juicy congrats to the winners

The Italian was very good to me today. I believe she will be tomorrow as well. Their doubles team has struggled at times this year and Kudermetova Mertens are a really good team. But Errani and Paolini just feed off the energy out there and I think Paolini pulls off the Italian double.
