There will be a minimum of two LL spots, maybe more depending on how many are stuck in Dubai...![]()
Lot of line movements on Kopriva already the #1 seed

@Bjorn_Borg
Any opinion on Svrcina? I would think he has a shot but he's 0-5 h2h and has only taken a single set off of Kopriva. But I do wonder how being his countryman (maybe friend?) factors into the LL situation.
On the withdrawals you reference are those the Dubai guys or separate from that? And if a player with a bye withdraws do you know if they will reseed or if the LL will take that spot? Obviously that would be a huge factor if that's the case.

@bringit
The top seed gets the LL spot here, no draw.
So if one player is out Kopriva is in.

Last year both Van De Zandschulp & Diallo got LL spots, they where the highest ranked seeds in the last round, both of them lost 2-0 and in both matches we saw odds drop on the underdogs.
So yes, I think Svrcina can be a good play here, if Kopriva already know his in, he will give his countrymen this win for sure.

News alls the Russian players are on their way to LA from Doha.
so we don’t know now, if anyone have withdraw they will announce it after the qualifying matches are played.
so yeah, there could be a case the players know already he got a LL spot, or there is now spot and Kopriva will win this match.
so best to be watch this live before playing

I don't know the state of affairs on the men's side but there always seems to be at least one or two withdrawals in a tournament this size. Could be a coincidence but 3rd and 4th seeds lost in straights already.

I still think some open up. A lot of times it won't happen until right before the match. And if it's someone with a bye the number 1 seed might not sign in as lucky loser for today but will sign in on the day that second round starts so he can get that slot instead.
