Totally missed yesterday that Noskova was second seeded, she tanked yesterday to get some more rest before the main round.

I think she tried yesterday but her opponent was just to bad to win. 

If she’s guaranteed a spot in the 1st round already why risk an injury with two extra matches? Makes no sense, in the last years it’s been between 2-4 Lucky losers in the main draw. 

And Bejlek Sara is not a bad player she qualified for the first round of US Open last year. 

Reaching the main draw pays 65,700 $ so it’s massive for someone like Bejlek. 

Park really had 42 unforced errors, 10 double faults and still won. 

Just to confirm because I’m quite intrigued, you referring to the Alycia Parks vs Sara Bejlek this evening, and that you think Alycia will lay down?

I believe so yes.

we could see in her game yesterday that she wasn’t very sharp, and I think for her she just wants some matches more for fitness before the main round next week. 

Like I said earlier she’s the number one seeded so even if she lose she will go to the main round as a luckey loser. We saw Noskova tank yesterday (#2 seeded) she will be in the main round as well. 

And don’t forget that Bejlek Sara is one of the best teenagers on the tour.

2-0 is a good bet as well, can’t see Park want to drag this out.

Last year Kalinskaya Anna was #1 seed lost 2-0 first round as a 1.10 favourite...

You brought up a good point on Parks. Have her in a few parlays but will be looking to hedge live if I see her tanking 

If this goes to 3, i can see park tanking. But park might annihilate her opponent in 2.

If we looking at the past 5 years only 1 time  have the #1 seed qualified, it was Juvan 2021, but that was a Covid year so the qualifiers was the first matches of the year and the main draw was played 3 weeks after the qualifier.

I'm from the netherlands. Didn't manage to stay up to these aussie tennis games. So I woke up and saw Bejlek hanging around odd 11 (1 set and 1 game behind). What a start of the day!
