Sad thing about this match is that it could have been an epic one if Murray came out the way he did in the 3rd set. No doubt in my mind it would have been a 5 setter if he did that earlier but in a match this big he could not settle in till he was down two sets

yeah that is the only thing keeping this from being a super night for me. still very good, but would love the extra 6 units. he really exposed himself in that regard because the third set was his for the taking. still, he was destined to lose either way and he knew it.

I can't believe I stayed up past 6am for that shit match and got teased as much as possible only to lose on over 3.5 sets. Unreal Murray, just unreal

Like Murray really had a chance after it was 2-0.

This is a 1-on-1 sport.

Only in the NBA can the Grizzlies blow a 19-point lead at Halftime and lose by 7.

Only in the MLB can the Cubs be down 8 runs in the 7th inning and come back and win the game.

Only in the NFL...

things really picked up in the third. maybe next time they play in a slam we can have the entertainment we expected. this one had some moments.

almost as bad as me missing that davydenko over even though it went to four because both guys were schizo...

Wheeeew. That tiebreaker was tense. If Federer had lost it, I suspect Murray would have taken the 4th set too.

Australian Open 2010 - 1.5 out of 10 stars in terms of excitement

Most boring Final to start the season in Grand Slam fashion, i'd say.

You got that match last night. Murray gets talked up a lot because he's the only tennis star in Britain. His odds are inflated even against Fed. And don't give me the 6-4 record because none of those wins are in majors, which are the real indicators.
