36 year old Xu has dropped to an 49 ranking now from #9 back in 2020.

Feels like Zhen has been around forever but she's only 30 years old, lost 2 years due to injury but already back with an title this year.

 Yeah always tricky with challengers and favourites. He was at 1.05 after the 1st set, hopefully he be back in the 3rd set, long from over.

Adding Krueger to win 1st set, I don’t think Donna will be in any form, reached final in Wimbledon on grass then final ok clay in the Olympic where she have stayed with her team and now 1st tournament on hard and with lots of time different from Europe and long flight to the US.
