However now we at a major on the other side of the world from Miami and revenge is a best dish served cold . This is a really bad spot to go all in on. Mannarino is a good returner and can neutralize Shelton's power game by placing the ball in tricky spots. That's where the unforced errors came from in Miami. US Tennis doesn't train their players for specialist guys like Mannarino. Mannarino gave Tiafoe who is similar to Shelton a hard match at the US Open by winning the first set and almost taking it to 5. Shelton is probably looking ahead to Djokovic in round 4 becuase he's so young and inexperienced. That's the only revenge he cares about. With the way the tournaments been playing out where rankings don't seem to matter I don't think Mannarino's just going to lay down here. You'd be better off taking Tommy Paul again. And I'd seriously consider cashing out before the match starts.

i appreciate  what you wrote and the insight you’ve provided and I could pick parts of it for good and bad but how I see it is Shelton was in Miami in front his college buddies and was not used to being a favorite . He was pressing and wanting to show off for his college bros . Now he has all that behind him and unlike last time he will adjust to the awkwardness of the way Mannarino plays as Shelton now has seen it first hand .

oddsmakers don’t care about h2h Shelton was only -167 in the first match so if that mattered he wouldn’t be -280 now. What matters is this is a major and high ranked favs are heavily priced in early rounds also form is the most important
