That's correct. But Blu-Ray isn't supported by all of them either. Warner Brothers and Universal isn't in Blue-Ray's camp. Also a couple of startup up companies, Microsoft and Intel is supporing HD-DVD.
Also Blu-Ray has a bigger price tag then HD-DVD has. So the jury is still out right now.
I have seen both and they both look good. It is nice that Blu-Ray has a storage of 50 gig instead of 30 gig for the HD. Although that extra storage didn't make the movies I watched any better.

I've seen Hi Def movies on both. Honestly you can't tell them apart. If anyone hasn't seen Hi-Def compared to a regular signal you just wouldn't believe it.
The huge difference is for live sporting events. I will set up two tv's and show people the difference. The jaws just drop. Prices are coming down for the Hi-Def TV's. Visio is now pushing thier stuff. Not the best quality in the world, but most people can't really tell the difference between them and Sony stuff. It's not really that far off. The price difference is pretty big.
