WDKY Fox 56 Lexington KY DTV broadcast

Fox is letting Central Kentucky down here... barely anybody in the metro Lexington area can get the DTV signal.

Part of the problem is that they located the transmission tower way too far south of the city, and the other problem is that it is on channel 4 VHF - which does not travel so well.

I watch the analog signal now, but soon it appears I will have no FOX broadcast at all when they turn the analog off.

Pitiful

Are you being a smart ass?

Yes I am aware

I have a 1080p Samsung plasma.  Latest in off air outdoor UHF antenna.  My reception on this hookup went from 4 to 34 channels.  My reception is fabulous.  This is a very well known problem here with the Fox broadcast.  When they turn off the analog, this area will basically go dark for all Fox viewers off air.

 Great......you're all set.

It's odd that their DTV signal underperforms their analog. Ironically, FOX is the only OTA HD chan I get, due to geography around Seattle............their tower is in Bremerton, not Seattle. But the analog sig is unwatchable.

Perhaps they'll juice it up after dumping the analog. Have you tried contacting them? I'm sure many local advertisers would be interested to hear about the issue.

Also give your local cable company a call and see if they will put the Fox station on thier package.
