Troubleshooting: Trying to download Win XP Service Pack 2

Little background: I just bought this computer from my Cousin.  Dell Insipron 8200, couple years old, and for $200, you can't beat it. . . but it has Win XP Service pack one on it, and you need service pack 2 to get the new Internet Explorer 7.  I've been to Microsoft's website, and I downloaded all the other updates, but I always get an error message when I try to download the service pack 2

 

Any ideas on how I can figure this out?  I'm not computer illiterate, but I'm no whiz either. . .

 

Also, if anyone can direct me to a site where I can figure out how much RAM I can upgrade this computer to, I'd appreciate it.  thanks

You can order the service pack 2 cd from Microsoft.  It's on the page somewhere.

 

Goto www.crucial.com  It will walk you through the steps to find out what kind of memory you need.

 

That's what I'm having the problems with.  I have high speed, and it's downloading every other update, just not that one.
