So I got a room at Mandalay Bay in Vegas, and decided to use their wireless internet. But when I connect to cox hospitality wireless network, everything is fine until I try and open a webpage. I get "Internet Explorer cannot open webpage."
I called tech support and the guy ran me through some steps and he can't figure out what's wrong. LMAO he says my computer is connecting but it's not talking to their server. He's not sure if it's something on my computer blocking the access or if it's their network. So I am using an ethernet connection.
Anybody ever have this happen? What in the world is wrong? LOL
Thanks

It happens sometimes, some wireless cards don't like certain routers. A few years ago we had laptops we rented out that just wouldn't work with a certain Cisco router at a convention center. Everytime we went there we had to install different wirless cards in them.
What a pain that was.

Thanks Wallstreet. In fact, that's how I've been able to type these posts, is by using the ethernet connection in the room. Of course, it costs $12.95 a day
Thanks for the responses. I'll be posting over the next week from Vegas. Cannot miss my covers fix with football starting up. Thanks again guys.
Thanks Lippsman.
