All ideas are "stolen" to some extent. Can't deny the success he created. But, and not to speak ill of the dead, he did seem like kind of a prick as a person, and has become way over-idolized.

he was a master marketer with keen eye on how people wanted to use technology...the GUI was stolen from PARC. ipod mp3 rip off. iphone give him credit for touch enabling and building DEVELOPER community that drove share and there were touch screen devices since like 2002

Thought he could "cure cancer" please post link to where he made these claims...
He might be talking about Jobs trying natural things to cure the cancer, which he did. Biggest shame is that he ignored it at first and from a few accounts it seems that if he was more aggressive with treatment he could of survived.

exactly..tried homeopathic nonsense when he first discovered the cancer but waited 6 months before getting REAL treatment. by that point it had already spread to other organs...

Having worked in a cancer center I can safely say pancreatic cancer is by far the WORST form of cancer one can have. Steve Jobs was blessed in his was a rare form slow growing pancreatic cancer. Generally the average life expectancy after diagnosis is 6-12 months. Also of note cancer patients typically NEVER get an organ transplant, however Steve Jobs found a way to the top of the list ($$$$$$$$$) or else he would have died long ago.
I also worked with many patients who tried "natural" things as a cure. From smoking marijuana, to herbs and supplements, to literally voodoo doctors. In the end cancer discriminates against nobody. I have seen 16 year olds on their death beds... rich, poor, pretty, ugly, young, old... doesn't matter.
Live life to the fullest as you never know when your time will come...
