Remote Access Software Question

I have DSL (not static IP) with ATT, 2wire modem setup. I want to have the ability to connect to my home PC while i'm on the road. I know to use proxy/pcanywhere you'd need to have static IP, so I believe in my situation the only option i have is via Web based connection.

i've checked out gotomypc.com but I'd have to pay.

Is there a free software that I can use? Link will be greatly appreciated.

Does you IP address change a lot? Mine barely ever changes, and only does if I reset the modem and wait for awhile or I shut the computer off for long periods of time. If you leave it on before you leave on the road, just note the ip address and you should be ok. Test it out for a few days remotely to see how it works out for you.
