I signed up for this today, it's called the suite advantage. You download this software called softphone and make/receive calls on your pc. Right now I can make calls but there is no sound.
I hear the rings and then see the message operational but no sound. I called my own number and it will ring, but there's no sound. The audio wizard would not allow me to adjust the microphone. Anyone knows what's going on?

I called the toll free number for assistance and after they walk me through the steps it still didn't work so they tell me I need to get a headset because the built in microphone/speaker will not work. I thought that's odd so I powered up my old Acer aspire 5003wlci and downloaded the softphone. Guess what...it worked like a charm! I can make and receive calls with no headset. I can adjust the speaker/earphone volumes with no problem.
So my brand new hp dv2700tse with core2duo, nvidia 8400M GS got outperformed by my almost two year old Acer
Can someone help me out on this?

I would do a spyware/virus scan to begin with. Also see if you have any fireewalls that may be blocking the program. If you have Norton Internet Security that could be a problem. I hate that damn program
