My old computer runs on win98. That translate has I can't put on any USB keys, no new technology can be plugged on because they can't find any pilots to run.
I got a Win2002 cd, that I want to install on it. Will I loose everything on it, or will Windows actually take it's place and leave every program and file there?
Any help?
Thanks!

Hmmm.......Well there isn't a Windows 2002. I think you mean Windows 2000. It depends on your current version of Windows 98. Most can be upgraded, but some out there can not. Just put the cd in there and it will tell you if you have the option to upgrade it or not. Before you do it, check on how much free hard drive space you have and current amount of memory. If you can upgrade it you won't lose anything.
If you have Windows 98 version 2, you can add a usb card to it.
