Question about Microsoft office - Powerpoint...PAGING LIPPSMAN ......

I might be the only person in the world without this ( I really don't use it, and laptop came this way )

I just downloaded free "trial " version from microsoft ( with 25 cipher code )

It will run out and then they will ask me to buy it.

If someone else has previously downloaded the software, is there code good still?

( Like if you paid for it, and bought a new PC? )

Nope, well almost nope.  Each copy has it's own code you have to use.

So if you bought a CD, you could download it into multiple computers, it is just that specific CD has it's own specific activation code?

* their....not "is there code still good

Actually yes.  It used to be that if it was used twice a screen would come up, saying to call Microsoft.  But they pretty much did away with that.

Look at getting the student/teacher edition.  It's a basic office package and most just need that.

It has

Word
Excel
Powerpoint
Onenote.

Just check out the sale papers on Sunday.  Usually you can snag it for $99.  Don't pay any more than that.

But of course there are limits to everything. I wouldn't go wild putting it on a number of computers.  It will be flagged if used too much.

I really dont need it for many applications, it's just annoying when I get sent emails I can't open because they have these formats.

Thanks again for info

Oh well then if that's the case. (Just reading and not needing to create)  You can get a word and powerpoint reader for free at Microsoft.

Word
Powerpoint

That is PERFECT

Thanks Lippsman
