PROBLEM W/POWER DVD

i just moved and went from at&t dsl to dial up. i just got my direct tv and high speed conection..through charter. i tried to play a movie using power dvd and it freezes. it pretty much shuts down my computer. is this something simple or did the direct tv guy mess up..? the rest of my computer seems to be ok but it does slow down at times

 

can anybody help?

I don't see how the DirectTV guy messed anything up.  Do the usual things here, do a full virus scan and install some spyware removal programs to clean things up.

 

 

I meant to say :

 

charter communications a.k.a.  local cable  came in and hooked up my "high speed" because at&t does not have the lines or whatever ready.

 

direct tv guy came in and had to use some double connection wire so i could get my feed without harming my internet service...

 

 i hate this. my dvds wont play. my system is running slower..

 

and for three days i had to use dial up

 

i have NOD32 which runs and have run an in depth check.

 

no problems are reported...i had not had a problem until i moved...

 

thanks for your advice. i thought system restore would help to but that just made me reinstall certain features
