Portable hard drive question

What's a good brand and specs to get? I want at least 320 gigs, primarily to put games, bluray movies, etc on a portable so that I don't have to burn on discs and all that. I run desktop to flatscreen for blu ray and all i want is a hard drive where I can press play, don't want to bother with discs.  Is firewire firmwire or 1394 whatever the hell it's called important? Or usb will do the job? Anything under 80 bucks? Thanks...

Any of the externals are fine. USB will do the trick for ya.  I don't think you are going to rip many bluray movies.  They will be beteeen 25 and 50 gig !!!

Gotta question for you lipps, how the hell do I make my flatscreen a second desktop? I have ATI and it only lets me extend the desktop from my monitor.  I would like a second desktop on the big screen.  How do I do that? thanks man.

You can get 1TB external for under $100 at BestBuy.

First you have to have a video card with two monitor outputs. Or seperate single ones.  But the new better ones are duel.

When the card installs with the software you can either go into control panel and display and set up the left on as primary monitor and the second one as extend my display on this one. They will be listed as monitor 1 and monitor 2.

Or the software that comes with the card will have a setup for both monitors. I don't install the extra video card crap that comes with it. Just use the Windows option.  Although some of the ATI stuff has where you can rotate the screen if for some reason you need that.
