Someone listed (on another Forum) two or three that they thought were better than Norton (which, of course, I failed to record). I have had no problems with Norton but always looking to improve and possibly save money (not of primary
importance). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

AVG or CA is the way to go. They have great detection rates and they take up a fraction of the CPU cycles that Norton does.
Norton and McAfee are usually not ranked on the top of the list of antivirus software. But where they are two huge companies and have the advertising budget that are the only ones most people know about. Also something to note, when they are ranked high it's usually at a website that it pretty popular. I would trust the ones that care about quality instead of who may be paying for thier banner ads.
Kaspersky is usually the top or one of the top ranked antivirus software out. It's good also, but I have huge issues with thier practice of rebates. Or lack of giving you your money when you do everything correctly

Here is a test of some of the antivirus software from Feb. Most of the virus software out there are pretty close in detections. The biggest thing is how much they slow down your computer

I have used this one for a long time now and recommend it. I definitely wouldn't recommend McAffee or Norton to anybody, both are just big, bloated, resource hog programs anymore.

Thanks.. I have about a month left on my NAV subscription, so I've downloaded AVG Free and will use it afterwards. Is it worth it to upgrade to AVG Anti-Virus or AVG Internet Security?
