Lippsman or anybody else. Question about using Parallels

I need to be able to run Windows on my Mac for work and I have read Parallels is the best since you don't have to reboot everytime you want to switch between windows and mac os. My question is if i download a file while runnning windows, can I save it to the mac part of my desktop if that makes sense

If you're running Parallels, then you can save it to the Mac part of your desktop if you so desire.  My personal experience with Parallels ended up not being so good, so I stopped using it after it crashed my machine.  It was then I was told that I was better off sticking to just using a separate boot camp partition for Windows, and I have no issues now,

Stay far away from Parallels

Why do you say that? Everything I have read online says it is much better and faster than VMare Fusion and Boot Camp. I would use Boot Camp but I don't want to have to reboot every time I want to use windows

I like Boot Camp much better and we have had many, many computers in the shop that had Parallels on it. It is a bit faster then the others you mentioned.  But you want stability more than quickness.
