I've already researched this online. There seems to be no real solution, just suggestions of using various spyware and virus removers, which I've done. I am good with computers but not savvy enough to re-write code, etc. I'm thinking the best solution may be to uninstall Firefox, delete all previous data, and re-install? Thoughts? Thanks.

Again, not Lippsman, but I wouldn't go to the trouble of uninstalling Firefox (the browser itself doesn't really have anything to do with it, although you might want to check "Tools -> Add-Ons" to see if something installed itself there).
Like KQC, run your stuff in safe mode and also check to see what programs are currently running on your computer (if you're relatively computer savvy, download a copy of HijackThis to help out - just make sure you don't end up erasing something you actually need).
Also, this isn't directed at you necessarily, but I'm sure it would help out Lippsman and the others a bit more if you guys went into a little more detail as to the exact nature of the problem. I'm no expert, but I'm more than happy to help out if I can - sometimes you just need a little more to go on before you can be of assistance.

what programs did you try? and did they find anything? even if they don't completely remove it, it at least lets you know what it might be and you can narrow it down in a google search for removal ideas.
uninstalling firefox won't remove malware on your machine, thats just used as an entry point to get on your machine.
