Lipps....... Mcafee security softwareJ

Just wondering if you have ever used or dealt with this software. I have it installed only because it comes free with my comcast high speed. It does a virus scan while Im surfing and really slows down my speed ...bad. I want to be able to scan only when I tell it to scan.        Thx for your help in advance....... for me and all the rest of us computer idiots.

I'm not sure if you can control when the Comcast Mcafee scans or not. 

 

Right on the M, on the task bar and see if you have an option box.  If not just look for virus scan.  Someone in there may be buried a schedule you may change.  But I believe in the past versions of the Comcast Mcafee you were not able to change it.
