hey guys, my laptop computer monitor after like 10min automatically fades and dims the screen, after the screensaver goes on&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;how do i remove that feature of dimming the monitor?

Go to control panel&#xD;&#xA;Power options&#xD;&#xA;check out the options, somewhere in there you will be able to disable it

im looking around and imnot sure which one would disable the diming of the monitor...i was messing with the viao power scheme and it wasnt it&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;any suggestions to what else to do?

I don&#x27;t know where it would be though.  It&#x27;s gotta be somewhere under programs or accessories

currently the laptop is running under ac&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;the laptop was fine and didnt do this before, after i had the computer technician install a new harddrive and reinstall windows, it started dimming...

Did he use the restore and recovery disk that came with your laptop.  I really think it&#x27;s a software setting somewhere and not a hardware problem.  Maybe he he put some extra software on it.  I know the Viao&#x27;s have a great deal of extra crap that is on them.
