laptop cooling fan

About a week ago the cooling fan in my laptop quit working.  I replaced it and it still wont turn on.  Is there anything I can do or is it new laptop time?

Could be the port on the motherboard that is shot.  I highly doubt that you got a bad fan. Bad spot to be in for sure.

Here is a question, did you try to clean your laptop?

I had a problem with a fan not working and my laptop heating up. I vacuum cleaned the air exits on the laptop and voila.

Yep.  When I had my laptop apart, I made sure all the dust was cleaned out.
