I'm not too sure Train. I was torn between the Samsung Galaxy 10.01 and the iPad 2. Bought the Samsung and returned it for the iPad2 which I returned the next day. Neither of them did anything for me that I could do on my laptop.
I then saw the Asus Transofmer E Pad which has a detachable keyboard that folds into what looks lie a netbook. It also has a USB and HDMI port which I don't believe comes on the iPAD.

im gonna keep it really simple for you, sparky...if you have the money, get the ipad2...there are apps you cant use on ipad1 because the processor; maybe not many, but their numbers ar growing as well. going for forward, you should have a dual core processor that the ipad2 has.
everything about the ipad2 is better than the 1. as far as wireless keyboard..why? ive had my iapd 2 since it came out and never needed external keyboard...plus its more shit to tote around around. go type on one for a while, and see if you still feel that way. battery life is awesome, UNLESS you use external keyboard (bluetooth).
