I have been working on a program that needs to pull odds from Pinnacle. It had been working great for the past couple weeks and then all of a sudden this morning I found that my IP address had been banned from their site. I'm running Mac OS X 10.5.7 and the program is written in Java. Does anybody know of a way around this? FWIW, the program updates ever 5 seconds.

Do you have a static IP address for your internet? If not, then release your IP address and turn off the modem for awhile. It should eventually give you a new IP address. How about lowering your update rate to their site, it probably is what made them block your IP, the unneccessary traffic you are adding since you are continuously polling data from their site. They probably noticed and assumed (correctly) it was a program and blocked it.

If you are updating that often you will be banned again very soon. You can get an IP masking program, but again with hitting thier site that often they will ban you almost instantly.

I can only assume my ip was banned as well. Is there a way to find out? The past three days i have not been able to bring up the site on any of my computers.
