i had my comp. looked at and NOD32 antivirus installed. has anyone heard or used it? most people i ask have never heard of it. it upgrades itsel every 1/2 hour or so. im not complaining..i just wonder if i should install another virus/adware etc device.

It's actually very good. It usually rates higher than the big boys. Although you can't put a great deal in some of the virus protection reviews. You will usually find the Norton's and McAfees at the top of the list in the popular publications and ones like Bitdefender and Kaspersky in the other publications. I've always been a bit suspect of this.
Personally I stay away from Norton and McAfee at all cost. Norton used to be very good and fast, now it's just bloatware. McAfee is the same now. We use CA antivirus here, but we also just started testing Kaspersky also.
