Looking for a gaming or desktop replacement notebook in this price range:
 
$1500 - $2200
 
 
Retailed at Best Buy.
 
Whats with the Windows Vista issues?
 
I love games with nice graphics, and have heard the NVIDIA 9800 and 1920x1200 resolution is pure joy/eye candy on this machine.
 
But i'm also hearing lots of problems with some builds. A few people seem to have run into some lemons and the Gateway tech support is very poor.
 
Also, if there is a better computer around the $3000 mark i'd be willing to pay up to that much also.
 
I've heard there are laptops now that supports SLi-NVIDIA cards, meaning it has 2 graphics cards. But the prices on those are sky high at the moment. Especially the ones that have the new quad-core processors.
 
 Some input would be nice. Should i get this Gateway or hold out on a better build?

I am not a fan of Gateway stuff at all.  Hey, they own E-machines, that should tell you something.
 
Later on today I will post some things in your range.
 
But I will be posting a hell of a deal on a general purpose laptop.....
