does the mbps have any affect on the lagging when you watch games online, let's say 1.5(what I have now) vs. 4.0? I have two laptops and I like to run multiple games, and watch all three games on nba league pass, but anything more than 2 games will cause lagging, and during half time I cant even get my bets in sometimes cuz it would take 3-5 mins to load the page on betjam. would it be worth it to get the 4.0 mbps?

but I thought the speed for laptop is restricted to the router itself since most laptops are wireless. It does make a difference when it is connected through the ethernet slot, isn't it?

I have no tv now, I watch nothing but sports, so don't feel the need to get cable or dish since most games are streamed on jtv or blogspots. but when the nfl seasons starts I do need the local channels cuz lots of times they shut down the channels without warning.
