new battery
 
what is the best way to extend battery life?
 
.................always run elec, with battery in
..................run battery low, then recharge
...................run electric, battery out?

If you are using the laptop mostly as a desktop.  That is usually keep it plugged in while you are at a dest, keep the battery out of it.  It's always getting a charge and will lessen your battery life.

I have a power supply ( in house, or power inverter in truck ) about 95% of the time
