I recently bought a Dell Dual Core 1.8 with 1 GB of memory and numerous other goodies. The system worked fine until I bought a CX5000 all in one system and at the time of hooking it up added the Fox Mozilla browser plus numerous add on buttons. The problem is shortly after installing the all in one epson, both my DVD player and DVDRW, are disabled. I know the problem is not physical because I did the complete Dell Diagnotics on my system last night. Everything is working fine. Microsoft tells me it's a conflict with an Add-on buttons, the Fox browser and the all in one epson. I downloaded the latest device drivers from Dell, Microsoft and Epson...which did not correct the problem. The error is numbler 39, that probally does not help to explain much. When I go to my device manager, it's tells the system cannot recognize the device drivers for both the DVD player and the DVDRW and they both have that annoying little yellow triangle on them.
Anybody knows a site on the net where some UBERGEEKS could tell what to do. I probally will just have to completely get rid of the Fox browser and the epson and reconfigure the system back to the original. Shade of COMPCRAP where if you added anything new to the system the whole thing would completely break down. Thanks.
I need some kind of patch. OR it's System Restore Time,
