Let me begin by saying that adding this topic to the forum is great.
With the help of Lippsman, mutant, etc., this technology forum should flourish.

 Now for my question.
I have downloaded a movie from the internet that is on xvid format. The movie plays well on my computer.
However, the movie does not play well on my standalone DVD players.
Is there an encoder or something I can install into my DVD players that will allow the DVD's to play properly.
If there is, a link will be greatly appreciated.
If that cannot be the case, are there any dvd players that are compatible to play these DVD's?

Thanks in Advance

The topic should read xvid. Not divx.

Good to see you in the forum.  There is nothing you can do to watch this on a regular DVD player.  Your best bet it to ook your laptop or computer into your VGA port of your TV if you have one.

Thanks for your input.

My plans were to bring 3 movies with me to my trip to Florida this coming week. I am bringing them in case of rainy days (which I expect due to Hurricane Dean). I don't have plans of carrying a laptop with me to this trip. I avoid carrying more than I have to expecially since I will have my daughter with me.

Oh well, I guess I will have to deal without them.

Thanks again
