DirectTV outside U.S.

Question

I'm outside of the U.S. and want satellite TV. Any of you know if I can just buy a system at directtv.com, have it shipped to me and it will work? Some people offer satellite hookup here but its expensive. I think it may be cheaper if I can get the equipment and subscription online with credit card.

I see some of these DirectTV dishes and receivers on ebay. Can I just buy one of these and activate the subscription online at directtv.com?

Also, any familiar with Pansat satellite TVs? Seems to get alot of Channels but I'm not familiar with it.
