Computer Problems

i don't know what happened to my laptop, but the screen has shifted so the contents run left to right across the screen instead of the normal top to bottom...in other words, the screen setup has turned 90 degrees.

pain in the ass to use the mouse and have to crane my neck to see what i'm doing. any ideas what setting i need to change and where i could find it?

yes, i did try to drag the task bar back to the bottom, but to no avail.

i've also looked at the display settings for the monitor and couldn't find anything helpful.

it's like i changed the overall screen setup somehow, similar to changing a word document from portrait to landscape...
