Anti-Virus Help

I have used both McAfee and Norton anti-virus, and they seem to slow my system down.  There are so many other anti-virus programs out there that its difficult to choose a good one.  I have tried Avast, and it seems pretty good.  My question is what ant-virus program do you all use and recommend and why?  I need a good one that wont slow my system down.

Most people seem to like AVG.  There's a AVG Free version you can download.

use Avast or AVG, neither can come close to slowing down your computer as well as Norton and McAfee can do.

Consider using Avira.  It is free and effective.  I have it on all my computers as well as everyone in my family.

Norton McAfee they just take your money slow down your computer and piss me off.

The only thing about the free Avira anti-virus is that it pops up an ad after it updates.  Small price to pay for a free anti-virus that works better than most.

use outpost+any antivirus.

i prefer outpost because i like when everything is under my control

I suggest you use Eset Nod32  Antivirus , it can be downloaded in the trial version at their site.

Then you google  "nodlogin10c"  download it and run it after you have installed Eset Nod32.  Then you are in business. Every time the code run out in 6 months time or so, you click on nodlogin10c and it will get you a new code.

Spybot Search & Destroy

Avast is excellent, as is AVG - I have used both, but I have gone with Spybot these days and am happy.

I like Malwarebytes to ferret out Malware. I run it occasionally just to see if it catches anything the others miss.
