Another question for Lippsman

Sorry if you have answered this one before, I searched and couldn't find it if you have......I have vista....everytime I put it in sleep mode it crashes, just started doing this the last couple of weeks and I have had the laptop for over 2 yrs.......blue screen comes up and its hard to read just what it says so I can't give you the error codes that come up....any suggestions are appreciated

Sounds like your powersupply may be going faulty on you.  Although it could be a driver thing.  Does it happen in hibernate also?  It you haven't tried it then give it a shot to see if it blue screens in this state also.

 

Does it blue screen any other time?  Weird bootup times or freezups?

I tried hibernate last night and it didn't crash, I suppose I could just do that......the other time it crashed other than putting it in sleep mode was when I used the usb port for an ipod, crashed shortly after....driver issue? thanks for the link I'll try to fix through that
