Acer Laptops. Any good?

Compared to Toshiba or HP?
I'm out of the country and need a laptop pretty quick. The swanky store nearby only carries this line.
Thanks.

Most are cranked out of the same factorys with different stickers.  It's fine.

Thanks for the drop in lipps. Went with the Toshib Sat L-500 Pro. Overpaid out here in SA but the machines have been good to me so hell with it. Too old my ways.

Cheap and efficient... Don't expect it to last more than 2 years though...

agree....acer combined cheapness and performance but they arent reliable

if you get an acer dont pay more than $300 for it...

I had an Acer laptop and while the brand is pretty good, it has its flaws.

They plaster tons of programs you do not need on it. Including their own.
Mine died after 3 years.. motherboard issue. Also it has a tendency to get very warm quickly.

3 years is quite a long time.....you were lucky :))
