Another great desktop deal here. Remember the Vostro computers don't have than pain in the ass trialware that bloats your hard drive that you never use. Also it comes with XP Home. You may want to spend. You may want to double the size of your hard drive for $50. I wouldn't though, or upgrade to a 48x CD-RW / DVD-ROM Combo Drive for $40. That I would do. Or upgrade to a DVD burner for $70. That I wouldn't do, you can buy it cheaper and put it in yourself.
1.80GHz Intel Pentium Dual-Core E2160 Processor
Windows XP Home
19-inch Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor
1GB DDR2 Memory
80GB SATA Hard Drive
16x DVD-ROM Drive

That does seem like a great deal for Dual Core with 1GB Ram but after I upgraded the hard drive to 160GB, DVD-RW, 128 MG NVIDIA video card along with the media card reader, the total comes out to be $ 609. Along with tax and shipping/handling, the final amount comes out to be $ 731.
This then does not look like such a great deal anymore because when I browsed through Bestbuy add, there are many similar systems with larger hard drive for about the same price.
What do you think? Is it really necessary for me to replace the video card?

It's not really necessary to do that. If you do all of the upgrades you talked about it, does defeat the purpose of the real good deal this is. This is a general purpose computer, word processing, interent browsing and some light gaming.
If you want all these upgrades you need to get the deal I am going to post..........Right now.........
