3D tvs are the future

Went to bestbuy today and finally checked out a 3d tv and all i gotta say is wow the prices are high but once it goes down a little i will for sure buy one

I think manufactuers and movie studios are trying to create a demand for 3D that currently isn't really there.  Way too many people hate it and I don't really feel the need to have 3D television when I'm perfectly fine with 2D, especially if glasses are involved.  Reminds me of Blu-Ray but even less enticing.

Yup I think they need to find a way to have it without the 3D glasses. I wouldn't help watching one while i wear those glasses for 3 hours watching a movie, game, etc.

It's one of those techs that will be good to wait a couple of years till they work out the kinks in it.

Samsung claims they are working on a system that doesn't require glasses.  I think it's just vaporware now.

I personally hate 3-D, I do not know if it is because I wear glasses but the 3-D glasses hurt my eyes.  I do not think the movies are that much better in 3-D and is just a waste of money.  It is just one of things that they keep trying to put on us, like they did in the late 80s and early 90s.  I hope it does not catch this time.

I just got the Samsung 55C8000 3D TV this week.  Haven't tried the 3D yet, will soon.  But the picture is unfreakingbelievable and the whole set is gorgeous.  I was coming from a 10-year old big 'ol 52 inch Mitsubishi console.  HDTV big difference.  It's not like a 3d TV is only for 3D or anything.  That's just a bonus.  This is basically an Internet TV too.  Bad boy can do so much.

It's about $2,500 now at Amazon (no tax, free shipping) plus you can get the 3D kit for free with the purchase of a Blu-Ray player (about $300).

Just give me an HD set.  I can live without the 3-D.

This Samsung 3D TV is so slick.  It's an internet device too.  I got it connected to my wireless network and I can get lots of internet content.  YouTube, Flickr, Facebook, Skype.  Games.  Monster v. Aliens 3D was really good, but there's not a lot of 3d content yet.  Apparently ESPN is doing some 3D, I guess some World Cup was, the HR derby.  But it's not like it's just a 3D TV, that's just an extra added bonus.  I hardly can believe how impressive this thing is.  Now I'll never got off my ass. 

I saw this Samsung LEDtv at the forum shops yesterday and it looked like 3d but no glasses. they had an EPL game on . looked unbelievable

All the Samsung LED TV's require glasses for 3D viewing.  But if the broadcast is 1080i HD @ 240hz it 's so amazing it almost looks 3D.  I got an IMAX Blu-Ray and it's not 3D but it damn near looks like it.

The deep blacks on this TV are just gorgeous.

Now I need a good surround sound system.  Kinda OT, but any recommendations.

Is that a Tyler Perry show?

me too....if i want 3-D i go to the cinema :)
