usaKangy's NHL Chase system from last year...

yes, im going to start doing this with the labouchere.

OK, I am officially a believer in this system!  I have been tracking this one silently for awhile and tonight was the first time I decided to play it....took the 2 B games and won them both.

Usually when I play a system, I understand the rationale behind the plays and how the chase works.  On this one, I was reluctant because I just couldn't see ANY relation between a Home SO game and the O/U for the 3 games after it.  It just makes no sense to me at all....  But after seeing the results, I have come to two conclusions:

1)  Its all about the $$$.  Results are all that matters.  So if the system wins, who cares how and why it does.  Just play it.

2)  Play any System where USAKangy appears prominently in the thread.  Trust the beer swilling Kangaroo.

when you have two a bets is that really a 2 unit play?

 

 

i was wondering the same thing how did this come to be?  meaning this system

....yes you are playing each as an [A] bet...so 2 unit play

if they win then Chase is complete...if the bet loses then you continue the Chase both with the next [B] bet progression...

This is one of those instances where you just shouldn't think too much....Just bet it the way its laid out and be happy we were dumb enough to find it in the first place....

Kangy,  I think you said earlier in the thread that this had been backtested (and I know you guys revived this from last season, too).  Did it always perform this well, or is the system just riding hot right now? 

It is working well this year ( ...and last)...+ 29 units this season!!!

when it does lose a "series" ..that is a 7unit loss...so it can go south in a hurry...but the 3game chase  (SystemC) seemed to be the best to me overall...that is why I brought it back up and am trackinging it this year....

It was hot last year and parts of the previous season.  When you go back three years, it starts to fail.  I know rule changes and total changes were evident a few years ago.  A lot of 6.5 and 7 games went under.  Nowadays, we rarely see 6.5 and almost never see 7 totals. 

I am using the modified labourchere this year.  While it is harder to track units this way, every time I clear lines, I increase the lines by 15-20%.  This all depends on your starting bankroll. 

Let's just say this was a hidden gem I found while following the original system posted last season.

So if im reading this correctly, 1Unit bet on Under Det, 2Unit bet Under Colorado. Am i correct in this assumption?

I still can't grasp the labouchere method.  Can anyone offer a quick dummies guide to this?  I'm accustomed to flat betting baseball for the most part and not with chase systems so I apologize for my lack of knowledge. 

Correct, however, if you have not played the COL [A] bet, then you don't play COL [B] for 2 units tonight, play it for 1 unit.
