The Prime Time Chase

It's that time of the year again for the Prime Time Chase. I did this last year with a good deal of success, but there were lessons to be learned.

I am confused where you have 4Half? Was that the last leg of the chase?

Any back tests beyond last year?

So your chase would be 4 bet max.  1st. Half, 2nd half, 1st half, 2nd half.  What would be the betting progressions?  Like one unit and if you lose next half 2, then 4 and probably 8?  With juice you are risking a lot if you ever get to the 4th half.  IMO .

Since you are betting ATS, the juice will be fairly low for each game.
If you lose the first bet at -110, your second bet would be the 110 you lost plus 100 profit. Assuming a line of -110 again, you would risk 231 for the second game, and so on.
The juice and units risked for a 4 game ATS football chase is much lower then other sports like baseball or hockey.

Here's the one thing to remember:

Something else to consider is you could just wait out the 1st game to cut out early loses. But of course you also cut out early wins.

Hey bD I was very impressed with hoops last year...but not sure how this will go in football. in fact, I did a little backtesting over the summer on past seasons and it was hit and miss. 2nd game might be the way to go...might be less profit but maybe safer. I might labby halves 3 & 4 and see how it goes. thanks

When chasing, most people will bet to win what they lost on previous games, plus one unit.

This can be backtested and really should be but its very time consuming..i looked quickly one night using old network schedules and 1H 2H lines from sbr. If someone has time and wants to look i will post the sites later tonight

this is the site i was talking about that has old espn network listings for  the games from past seasons... n a t i o n a l c h a m p s dot n e t ...hopefully the site name came out. so you can pull up the games here and see if teams covered one of the halves.

It seems that there would be way too many plays to keep up. Basketball season we got multiple games on the major networks every day it seems like. Too many plays if you ask me! Maybe weed them down a bit for super prime-time games? Great idea though! I'll definitely be checking in to see the progress.

It won't be too many plays, but it will be enough. You'll see...
