does it mean that for 2012, in 105 games, 70 were WON straight by the underdog?

Knight, I think this misunderstood Jeff's numbers. He is saying that 85 dogs won on either games A, B, C, D or E. And if they lost, they lost all 5 games which could equal as much as 20-30 units.

Last years results were:

A) 71
B) 25
C) 13
D) 3 
E) 1

Total of 113 games, and dogs on ML in these games 85-28 (total of 113 games) or I have a mental breakdown?

Correction that this season dogs are 1-1, as San Diego won yesterday straight up.

Yes, but there was a total of 174 days with games last year. 

We need Jeff to settle this.

This is not 113 games. It is 113 chases, where 71 finished on game A, 25 more finished in game B, etc. 

There is about 177 games here.

Something's not right here, in regards to the ML dog record.  I went back checked the first 2 months of last season.  The record for dogs in the first rotation game of the day was 32-29, with one rainout.  I have no clue how Jeff obtained a 85-28 record for the season.

He never mentioned anything about chasing the dogs on the ML, just the RL.

That may be correct but that's not what I'm doing. I'm running a chase for 5 games. If the dog doesn't cover +1.5 it goes to next day. I've been doing this 30 years, I may make a mistake once in awhile but not like that!

Not sure how you arrived at that number, but there were essentially 62 days for the 2 months of the season.  1 in March, 30 in April, and 31 in May.  One of the games was rained out.  Your record should include 61 games, not 56.

32-29 is still a profit, do you possibly have a full season record for dogs on ML?

I would limit myself to A and B, so a 2-level chase since I dont have a big bankroll and to pass on chase C would still give a good profit

Look hard enough and you'll find way way more holes than that in these chase records. It's basically made up bullcr@p

I use SBR odds to check the lines or Covers. As far as creating systems or finding long lasting trends,  that requires outside the box thinking as most ideas have been exhausted I believe.

BTW, I found sth like this:

Bet any MLB dog if the total is 10 or more

Two things speak for the system. The value tend to be in the contrarian approach betting against the favourite. Furthermore, the high total suggests lots of variability which speaks for the underdog.

Have you checked how the underdog performs in games with high totals?
