I'm new to this system, but I can't figure out why this game wasn't counted as a loss?? Or for that matter a win? LAA lost 5-2 that game so I don't understand how it could not be counted as something. I apologize if I am wrong in thinking this, I'm just trying to figure it out.

Okay, I was way confused earlier I guess what I'm saying is since LAA covered the next game and won game 3 shouldn't that be counted as a win and the record 29-0? Anywho, i guess its not important. This system looks pretty solid. GL guys

wryan its a chase system, Bet 1 was LAA and it lost, the next day Bet 2 was the PHI and it won. so therefore the bet won and doesnt count as a lost. remember we're chasing.

Are you only wagering on A.L. teams?  If not, the Padres should be the play.


SD -1.5 (+145)

NYY -1.5 (-105)

The Yankees opened anywheres between -175 and -205 depending on where u looked. San Diego opened anywhere from -170 to -200.

If you go by Vegas then the Yankees opened -190 or -200. SD opened -165, -170 and -175.

My book wasn't even close, the Yanks were a huge fav compared to the Padres. Actually SD wasn't even in the top 3.

The Yankees are the play 2nite.

There are variables that come into play on calculating the RL. Mainly, the reason for the huge + number for SD on the RL is that they are not a high scoring team. Couple that to the fact that they are palying at home and if they're winning will only hit 8 innings...the chances of them winning by 1 are larger than the Yanks, despite the latter being at home, too.

Correct, the Dodgers will be the overwhelming favorite 2morrow. With their incredible comeback 2nite, I love the RL 2morrow behind Chad!!

I am getting on board with you guys however I have found a couple of losses. All I did was go by the lines that were posted by covers back to the begininning of the season. I have losses on the following days

4/11/2009
 Mets had the largest line and this was the third loss

5/27/2009
 Philly had the largest line and this was the third loss

Please correct me if I'm wrong, overall you would still be up 1800$ assuming you chase 3 but it has not gone 29-0, at least I don't think

The chase is for 6 games, not 3. The system will only take a loss if it loses 6 consecutive games.

100$ bettor would have to lay 3200$ to win 100$ if it ever went to game 6. That's a little steep, but if you have that kind of dough why not make it a 10 game chase then you can pretty much guarantee no losses ever.

 

I'm exagerrating but I hope you see my point

Jimmy,

It is what it is...

Play it the way you want to play it, or don't play it at all.  There really is no hard rule that says take to 6, or 3, or even 10 games.  I have just found that the 6-game chase is most efficient for what we are trying to achieve.

I am trying to understand the chase and the system but is it not the same as just picking a good team and wagering every game on them and if they lose you raise the stakes on the next game??? You could play for example the Red Sox at home all year and when they lose you double down on the next game.

By the way I am not bashing your system because I even jumped on board and lost on the Dodgers last night. They had the bases loaded and couldnt get the run home. Dodger pitching even pitched great and gave up no runs. So now do we double down and play them again?
