I like to play european roulette with one zero, I came up with a chase method of playing the 1-18 and 19-36. I watch a number come out and then play that set for next spin, so if it comes out 7 i play for 1-18 next spin. if it loses i switch and double down on 19-36. I am going to do 1-2-4-8-16-32-64 or 5-10-20-40-80, did this for a little bit last time i was in atlantic city, going to try it for a longer time though the end of march. thoughts or any other strategies you like?

you might win some but lose more. Chasing is never work in roulette or craps. Let make it short. When you chase, you win only 1. But when a long chase come, you are broke.

I go to the casinos in New Orleans and the Mississippi Gulf Coast and play roulette frequently. Theoretically, if you have an infinite amount of money, chase systems should always work. There are some problems though.
#1: Casinos set maximum bet amounts. I've noticed the casinos I go to are $5000 on Outside Bets ($2000 on inside numbers). Eventually if you keep missing and chasing you'll be at that limit. Now, I'm not enough of a high roller to have ever gotten to that limit, so I can't imagine what my stomach would be doing if I ever did it. If you can afford to lose $5K a few times a month/year then go for it. You can read about this and other roulette myths on-line.
#2: What hyvong and sports network previously said is dead on. Chase systems will drain your bankroll. Depending on the amount you are wagering/winning/losing it might take 5 to 10 winning nights to make up for one losing night.
#3: I mentioned above that theoretically a chase system in roulette should work but I've lost more than once. When I first started playing roulette I used the "coin flip philosophy." Meaning if you flip a coin 5 times chances are it will land on heads/tails at least once. So if you bet on that coin landing on heads at least once in five flips, using a chase system, you will hit more than miss. But there will be times when all five flips will land on tails.
The same principle occurs in Roulette. You may think black won't hit 5 times in a row, even 10 times in a row, but it can and will eventually if you play long enough.
If you want to use the 5-10-20-40-80 strategy be sure you can afford to lose that amount. If you just sat down and missed all 5 spins in a row that would be $155 (taking the numbers you listed literally). Just like in any other casino game you should have a walk away amount. If you're losing amount is $150 you're winning/walk away amount should be 1/4, 1/3 or 1/2 of that. That's what I do. If I start out with $100 I walk away up $40 or $50. If I start out with $500 I walk away up $100 (1/5th of my original).
It's boring but you will net more if you do it that way. If you are feeling lucky once you walk away up 1/4 or 1/2 go the the casino next door and do the same thing. If you lose call it a night.

I play roulette and have many different betting variations all of witch are losers in the long run. if you want o make money do sports betting and stay away from casino games.

This is a ridiculous strategy, as others have mentioned in responses. There is only a handful of single 0, games in LV and they all have $500+ minimums. Yes, minimums. When I was a pit boss at Palms my roulette table would make $5k profit for the house nightly. The main reason was the lighted tree which showed previous spin results! Anyway, find a double deck 21 game and learn a simple plus minus system.
