What's up everyone. New to the forum (sort of). I've been lurking for awhile and came across this thread and am now an active participant in both the forum and this system as of last week. Love it, Thinker! I didn't have a full grand to put into it, but I still matched the units you started with and will increase as you did. So far so good. Keep it up, and bol to us all.

You really have to be disciplined to stick with this. I"m used to waking up on Saturday morning to figure out my college plays.

thats why most cant do this... "no discipline"... my program is for pro-sports only. i do plan to try it out again for bowl season in college football..

No complaints here, whatever works. I think it was very smart to lay off college football after the short trial. Do you think your ratings will apply better to bowl games than regular season?

just for kicks, i ran quite a few college games and the 2 that the program liked were (Missouri +1.50) and (Kentucky +1.80).... this will not be kept in any record, just thought id mention it....

Really? I'm a Missouri fan and I think they're going to get destroyed today. I saw that spread and it looked too good to pass up, but its only hockey for me today. Lets go Blues!

i may not do sundays update until after 12 pm cst tomorrow... the NFL plays are listed in post #287

 

Butta: i could always list the TOP play but i have been purposely avoiding doing that for a while...

I think thats not bad,lets just focus on the plays and dont put any attention on a top play,treat all plays the same,but you could for test or just to keep track...

butta: ill get back to it... i just wanted to get everything lined up for pro-sports..

My mlb and nhl are 100% complete, although the NHL should upgrade slightly by nov 1............. my NFL and NBA will always be for less volume..... i do plan on bringing back college football for the bowl season... and i have not yet started this years NBA program but i know that it wont produce alot of plays daily...

Oh I know. I was just surprised that was one of its favorite plays. I do like the Kentucky one though, and Michigan, and Arkansas. I need to quit talking about college football. I guess its just withdrawls. I'm probably gonna start smoking again now.

Thinker...when my book has one of your plays that is not a dog, would you play it?  For instance, today I have Boston as -105 and St. Louis as Even....would you pass or skip?

Looks like I was spot on with that Missouri call. This thread may have saved me from financial disaster. Missouri actually looked pretty good today. If only they had a defense when Daniel, Maclin, etc. were around.

I only like this system for Professional sports.  I'm not sure it would work long-term with college.  There's way too many variables in college ball for a power rating to work, imho.

I used what may be a variation to Thinker's Systme with College Football today using the Sagarin Rankings betting on dogs that were higher ranked to the favorite.  So far I have played Missouri, Army and Oklahoma State.....I will check my book again to see if he has put out more money lines

there will be no additions to saturdays card, sundays NFL card is posted in a previous post......... ill do sundays update around noon cst and add any other plays for sunday at that time..

still monitoring (Missouri +1.50) and (Kentucky +1.80) for sundays college football..

im pretty sure my program could work for college football, once enough data is collected... that is why i will bring it back for the bowls...

You might want to try college football in 1-2 weeks, once all the teams have played a couple conference games to even out their stats. Right now things are swayed too much from the cupcake games they played in September.
