sort of an off day today, as i only have 1 play.. here is the update thru 37 of approximately 1000 days..

 

Beginning Balance on sept 5 2010: $1000

Current Balance on oct 12 2010: $1447

 

Power Ratings Program: 88-90 (+$447)

 

breakdown:

MLB: 69-68 (+$413)

NHL: 6-8 (-$12)

NFL: 11-10 (+$56)

CFB: 2-4 (-$10)

TOP plays: 9-5 (+4.02 units) (64%)

179. Texas Rangers (+1.05) $25 to win $26 (lee/price)

 

there are only 2 NHL games on the board and neither qualify as a play, although atlanta came very close...

lets throw out the 6 college football wagers and look at some interesting numbers.

Power Ratings Program: 86-86 (exactly 50% winners on ML underdogs over 172 plays) granted the sample size is not large but the program is right on track. it is working exactly as i designed it... i am 1000% satisfied with these results.

the payback on the winners has been right at (+1.25), which is also almost exactly what im looking for...

in other words, "so far-so good"...

MLB: 69-68 (i cant wait until next season) this is clearly going to be a main cog for us, on our journey.

NFL: 11-10 (week 5 has come and gone and im pretty confident that the nfl selections wil continue to show a profit)

NHL: 6-8 (not the great start but we have not made it to november 1 and i am projecting things to get much better then).

NBA: i will begin the work on the nba next week.. i have about 6hrs of initial work to set the program up... expect small volume from the nba but i do believe we will turn a nice profit..

yes i did almost quit after 2 weeks, glad i stuck it out.... ive made a couple mistakes over the last 37 days.... but for the most part, ive followed my business plan to the letter...

college sports was a tough call but my program just cannot grasp it... with the large turnover of players, year after year and the huge difference in the opponents... my program is designed for pro-sports but i may bring it back for the bowl season...

 

for someone following along, i may be looking for an assistant should this program continue on its current path... during the Christmas Holidays i will be "out of town" and may need someone to post the plays here, during that time period... i will take my program and run the plays daily but i may need someone to post and keep the daily update... if anyone is following and if we are still on track, i may need a volunteer..

 

patience and discipline (slow and steady) will hopefully keep us on track...

I would love to thinker but I work too much 12-15 hours a day 4 days a week

Thinker, I suggest getting email addresses from anyone who's willing to help.  Email us all the picks on a daily basis, and whoever gets to covers.com first can post them here.

That way, even if one of us can't make it, or we're busy, the others can pick up the slack. 

Don't put all your eggs in one basket, just in case.  I plan to follow you until you quit (or we reach the goal), and I'd hate to miss a days worth of picks because of busy schedules.

 Since the lines come out usually the night before, what time do you release the plays? I work a crazy schedule and I do not want to miss the plays so I am trying to get a lead on the release times. Thanks in advance

brookster, i almost always have the games up by 12:00 noon cst and on the weekends, i have them up before 10:00 am cst... i get them up very early...

I didnt play on the rangers tonight, was up 2 units from the first 4 games and decided to take my little profit and run.........still happy with my profit though......things get even more interesting with Tim & Roy...Tim@ +160  for me looks good...

for those asking, the project will run in its entireity right here in this thread.. if my computer program turns into a failure, then ill stop.... but as long as i keep hitting my goal of (15%) each month, ill continue on...

my only real concern is being at ($1323) on nov 1...... i currently sit at ($1473).. so im running quite a bit ahead for now...

again, i do not pick any games, nor do i offer an opinion on any game.... i have a computer program that updates daily.... it is, for the lack of a better term, a Power Ratings Program....  this program is how all the selections are made... i also am using a pretty good money management system to reach my goals...

if i were to reach $1500 in my project bankroll... i will up my base bet to $30, i will never lower it, if i reach that mark... i will increase the base bet by $5 for every $250 that the project bankroll gains, regardless of the day of the month..

Stupid question- I never play NHL. If I choose the ML, that already gives me the OT and shootout, is that correct?

depends on your book.  with mine, OT and SO are always included

why be concerned if you are ahead of schedule???     if we hit this in 33 months  all is good 

good business plan with money management,   dogs hit all the time,    I love it

so if we are increasing are unit by 5 after 250 won,    how high will our units go --    is there a cap on the unit   or does it continue to increase??  if it gets to $100   we win three games it goes up 105  win three games up 110  or  does it go up when we hit a 15% increase....    just thinking ahead
