Jeff, in case there is a loss today, are we chasing Det or Cle over for the next game (since they don't play each other on Monday)?

This Detroit chase is making me a bit nervous. There is no run production without Cabrera. Look at yesterday. 11 hits...no runs...Scherzer going tomorrow. I'm following though

Seems like many people think every play should hit in the 1st game of the series, otherwise they start coming up with reasons to bail.

I'm not bailing Puppet. I was just making a point that Detroit is lacking run production. I know it's a 6 game chase but just hoping it doesn't go the distance. I am playing it out. Love the system, just wasn't crazy about chasing a Detroit over without Cabrera

I realize not having Cabrera in the lineup is huge but he hasn't made a difference since last Monday.  Cabrera scored 1 run on Tuesday and has had no HR or RBI in 3 games he played. Look at the runs which were scored.

Tues Oak L 3-6

Wed Oak L 4-14

Thurs Oak W 7-6

Fri Clev W 7-2.  left in 2nd inn 0-1

Sat Clev W 10-5 didn't play

Sun Clev L 0-4 didn't play

Mon Bos W 3-0 didn't play

It's not like Detroit has no lineup.  Once again don't get me wrong, Cabrera playing has an influence.  Fenway Park is a hitters Park. The Sox will score and so will Detroit.

- this is a 5 game chase, not a 6 game chase. 
- the books adjust the lines for injuries. If Cabrera was playing the lines would higher

Just playing devils advocate, of course, Injuries are considered but....

With Cabrera in the lineup, the Tigers have only had 3 games with an over /under of 10 or more all year and 2 of those games stayed under. Today's number was 9.

Can't wait for baseball to end.
